Royal Domestic Water Softener

£645.00£915.00

Introducing the Royal Domestic Water Softener – a high capacity unit suitable for homes with up to 6 occupants. Boasting three different valve types the Royal offers premium water softening technology that is fit for a king, with standard, eco and high flow options. Each valve uses precision hardness technology which allows it to be programmed to your specific water hardness, reducing both water and salt usage compared to non-electric water softeners. The large capacity of this system reduces the number of cleaning cycles required for daily operation, whilst having the capability to provide more softened water on demand than most models on the market.

Despite impressive performance, the Royal remains compact no matter your choice of capacity with 10 litre models measuring 53cm tall, 28cm wide and 46cm deep. For 15 litre models the only increase is height, which measures at 67cm instead. To read the full technical specification please see the description below.

Standard: Compact, stylish and easy to operate with smart WRAS approved metered Autotrol valve which controls regeneration cycles based on your water usage.

Eco: Everything that the Standard has to offer but with an upgraded valve and eco resin. Delivering 17% extra capacity between regenerations and a 40% saving on water usage.

High Flow: Everything that the Standard has to offer but with full bore connections and internal pipework, offering a 35% increase in flow. Ideal for homes with a Combi or Megaflow boiler.

Description

Royal Water Softener Overview
Royal Water Softener Overview

Fit For A King
The Royal Water Softener offers large resin capacities and multiple valve types in a refined package – providing luxuriously soft water that is fit for a king. Measuring just 28cm wide, 46cm deep and 53cm tall (66cm for larger 15L capacities) the system comes complete with a high performance WRAS approved Autotrol valve for reliable operation.

Precision Hardness Technology
Employing an efficient metered valve from Pentair the softener is programmable to your specific water hardness and adjusts according to your daily water usage. This ensures that regenerations only happen when convenient and when required, reducing the amount of water, salt and electricity required for operation helping to keep running costs to a minimum.

Flexible For Your Needs
Suitable for homes with up to 6 occupants, the system is an excellent option for most properties – even with the standard valve. The different valve combinations (Standard, Eco & High Flow) allow the softener to be customised to the unique demands of your property. The eco version offers as much as a 40% saving on water usage compared to the standard valve along with 17% extra capacity. Further reducing operating costs by limiting the number of cleaning cycles required, saving you money on water, salt and electricity. The high flow version offers a 35% increase in flow rates and is a great option for customers with high flow demands, such as in homes with a combi boiler or megaflow system.

Low Energy Usage
Thanks to the highly efficient metered valve and precision hardness technology the Royal requires extremely low levels of energy to operate, comparable to a small alarm clock. The softener adjusts regeneration cycles according to your water usage, which ensures every last drop of water is softened before regenerating.

Premium Softening Resin
We only use premium high capacity resin in our range of water softeners. This improves their lifespan and efficiency when compared to systems built with standard softening resin, we’re so confident in our products that we offer a comprehensive 2 year warranty on all of our systems (effective from the date of delivery).

Holiday Mode
Concerned about your water softener whilst on holiday? No problem, we’ve got you covered. Our entire range of electric systems come with holiday mode by default. This means if no water is used for 14 days then the resin bed is cleaned automatically – so whenever you go away, you can come back to clean, luxuriously soft water.

15mm Full Flow Installation Kit 3/4″
Suitable for customers with 15mm pipework but have a combi boiler, direct system or an unvented hot water cylinder.

22mm Full Flow Installation Kit 3/4″
Suitable for customers with larger 22mm pipework (common with houses under 10 years old).

When choosing an Electric Water Softener it is important to consider the following:

  • Where You Are Going To Install The Water Softener – The location should have access to a mains water supply, drainage system and a power source. It should also be accessible so that you can easily top up the salt when required.

  • Which Model Suits Your Home – To ensure you choose the right softener you need to know how many people live in the house and the water hardness of your area. If you don’t know your water hardness you can usually find this on your local water boards website or using a water hardness test kit. The hardness of your water and estimated water usage (based on the number of occupants) are what is used to program the valve that controls the regeneration of your softener.

  • Who Is Going To Install It – All of our Water Softeners require an installation kit in order for an effective installation, which are available separately. The installation kits include inlet and outlet hoses, bypass set and a drain hose. When ordering an installation kit you must ensure that the fittings suit your existing pipework which is generally either 15mm or 22mm in the home. Most plumbers are able to install a water softener, however if you have DIY experience then you should be able to install it yourself.

  • Supply Of Salt – Salt is required for the regeneration of your Water Softener. It is important to follow the product manual to ensure the system is not over or under-filled. Keeping the salt level of your system in line with the product manual specification will increase it’s lifespan so is highly recommended. Salt is also available for purchase separately and comes in an easy to use tablet form.
