Our Water Softening Resin is the same premium resin that we use in our range of water softeners – Indion 222 Na. It is an FDA approved high capacity ion exchange resin, supplied in a number of volumes including 1L, 5L and 25L bags. Designed to remove hardness-forming ions such as Calcium and Magnesium from your water, in exchange for Sodium. This resin can be regenerated multiple times using a brine solution which makes it suitable for all ion-exchange water softeners (both domestic and commercial).

Description
Inside of a water softener small spherical resin beads are packed into a ‘resin bed’ which holds a negative charge, these attract positively charged scale-forming ions and remove them from your water. When these resin beads are saturated your water softener performs a ‘regeneration’ which cleans the hardness molecules from the resin bed using a brine solution. After many years of use, the resin may become expended and not regenerate as effectively, which is when it needs to be replaced.
Indion 222 Na is a strong acidic cation resin used in sodium form to exchange scale-forming ions like Calcium and Magnesium with Sodium. Specifically designed to meet the requirements for food, beverage and drinking water applications. The resin is packed in tear proof, air tight bags for safe transportation and to ensure a long shelf-life. Suitable for both water softeners and as the cation exchanger in two-stage de-ionisation.
