Our Domestic UV Systems are used to sterilise water from untreated sources such as wells, boreholes and springs. Passing water through the stainless steel reactor chamber and exposing it to UV-C rays destroys the DNA of bacteria and microbes, sterilising your water in the process. We offer a range of UV sizes to suit varying flow rates from 20-60 litres per minute. The systems are easy to install and maintain, with a digital day counter, warning light and audible alarm to indicate if the system is not operating effectively.

Description
UV treatment is a popular technology for making biologically unsafe water safe to drink, requiring very little electricity to run and once installed are low maintenance. UV systems destroy bacteria and microbes without adding anything into the water, such as harsh chemicals. The Domestic UV Systems that we offer are manufactured in the EU by Sita UV using quality components to deliver a high UV dosage rate of 30mj/cm² well above the minimum requirement of 16mj/cm². Our UV bulbs have an estimated lifespan of 9,000 working hours (375 days) and the system features a ‘days run’ indicator, so you know how long your bulb has been in service.
It is important to ensure water is particulate-free before entering your UV system. It is best practice to filter down to 5 micron before UV treatment to prevent shadowing of the UV light. Shadowing is caused when particulate passes through the chamber, giving bacteria somewhere to hide from the UV light and can lead to improper treatment of your water.
How Often Do I Need To Replace The Bulb In These Domestic UV Systems?
UV bulbs should be replaced annually. It is also recommended to clean and inspect the quartz sleeve every 3-6 months and replace if damaged.
