WATER SOFTENER RESIN CLEANER
Water Softener Cleaning Solution
Inside your water softener, thousands of resin beads trap hardness minerals. Over time, traces of iron, silt and manganese ‘coat’ these beads, creating a barrier that the salt brine cannot penetrate. This process is known as fouling. When resin is fouled, it loses its ion-exchange capacity, meaning your softener has to work harder to produce the same amount of soft water. Our Water Softener Resin Cleaner chemically strips this coating, effectively resetting the resin beads to a ‘like-new’ state, ensuring maximum efficiency and flow rates.
This 1-litre bottle provides a professional-grade solution for water softener maintenance, deep cleaning and contaminant removal. With a concentrated dosage of just 100ml per 10 litres of resin, one bottle offers up to 5 years of protection.
How To Use Our Water Softener Resin Cleaner?
We recommend using the resin cleaner every 6-12 months for preventative maintenance. The process is incredibly simple and requires no tools. If you are unsure of the volume of resin inside your water softener, please get in touch with a member of our team.
- Measure: Determine the correct dosage based on your water softener’s capacity (typical dosage is 100ml per 10 litres of resin).
- Pour: Add the solution directly into the brine well (the small tube inside your salt tank) or directly into the main salt tank if no well is present.
- Regenerate: Initiate a manual regeneration immediately. This will draw the cleaner through the resin bed, sanitise it and flush contaminants down the drain.
