Description
The thoughtful system design offers some useful additional features including a pressure switch, a solenoid valve to control automatic flush cycles and the RO 524 control system which displays permeate conductivity, forced stop and full tank. Able to be used for on-demand RO water production or to feed a storage tank thanks to low voltage inputs for up to 2 float switches, this small but mighty system will fill an IBC in under 8 hours.
Suitable for a feed water TDS of up to 1000ppm and a water temperature of up to 35°C. As with all RO systems the permeate recovery and rejection figures depend on several factors such as feed water quality, temperature and the type of pre-treatment used. If your water hardness is over 100ppm it would be recommended to install a water softener prior to the system to prolong the life of the RO membrane.
How Often Do I Need To Replace The Filters In The Herco Light Commercial RO System?
The carbon pre-filter should be changed after 100,000 litres or every 6 months, whichever comes first. The RO membrane should be replaced when you notice a drop in permeate production or water quality. With soft water, membranes can last up to 5 years however with extremely hard water (and no pre-treatment) membrane lifespan can be reduced to 12 months or less.
