Our Granular Carbon Filters are manufactured using WRAS approved Granular Activated Coconut Carbon (GAC) to effectively remove Chlorine, VOC’s and chemicals from your water. Carbon filters improve the taste, odour and appearance of drinking water delivering bottle-quality water straight from your tap. Granular carbon filters have a higher surface area than carbon block filters and are less prone to sediment blinding as they offer some sediment removal capabilities.

Description
Granular Carbon Filters are popular for drinking water filtration as they offer high capacity treatment with a low pressure drop. These filters are extremely effective at contaminant removal thanks to the high surface area of activated carbon, with just 1 gram having a surface area of over 32,000 square feet. Each size features a hard outer shell that contains the highly adsorptive granular media, with filter pads at either end to prevent the carbon granules from migrating out of the filter. Complete with rigid moulded end caps with integrated gaskets to ensure a positive seal with the filter housing and prevent filter bypass.
Please note that Granular Carbon Filters need to be flushed for a short period of time after initial installation. This is to remove any excess carbon dust that may migrate from the filter during the first use.
How Often Do I Need To Change These Granular Carbon Filters?
We recommend changing these filters every 12 months for properties with 1-2 occupants and every 6 months for properties with 3 or more occupants.
