Our Granular Carbon Filters are manufactured from high quality granular activated carbon (GAC) derived from coconuts – ensuring they are suitable for use with drinking water. Granular carbon effectively treats several contaminants including chlorine, organics and VOC’s with a lower pressure drop than their carbon block equivalents. The high surface area of the granular carbon media reduces the chance of sediment blinding, whilst offering some sediment removal capabilities.

Product Features

High quality granular carbon derived from coconuts

Choosing Product Size

We stock these filter cartridges in a variety of lengths to suit regular diameter (2.5″) filter housings. Choose a size that matches your filter housing or flow rate requirements. Most industry standard filter housings are compatible with these filter cartridges, but can also be purchased separately if required.

GRANULAR CARBON FILTERS

Chlorine, Taste & Odour

Granular Carbon Filters are a popular choice for drinking water applications as they offer high-capacity treatment with a low pressure drop. These filters are extremely effective at contaminant removal thanks to the high surface area of the activated carbon, with just 1 gram having a surface area of over 32,000 square feet. Each size features a hard outer shell containing the granular carbon media, with filter pads at either end to prevent the carbon granules from migrating. Complete with rigid moulded end caps and integrated gaskets to ensure a positive seal with the filter housing.

Please note that granular carbon should be flushed for a short period after initial installation. This flushing process will remove any excess carbon dust that may migrate from the filter during the first use.

How Long Do These Granular Carbon Filters Last?
We recommend changing these filters every 12 months for properties with 1-2 occupants, or every 6 months for properties with 3 or more occupants.

Why Choose Our Granular Carbon Filters?

Granular carbon media with a high surface area
Suitable for flow rates up to 500 litres per hour
Integrated gasket and moulded end caps

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very pleased with the service. There was an issue with the water softener I ordered initially, but then following communications made the replacement process quite pleasant. Happily recommend this company. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. First time using this company and product and i wasnt dissappointed. Communication was easy and quick resulted in an easy order and now having fitted the filter i can say its a great product easy to install and appears good quality apart from the four mild steel bracket screws stainless would have been better considering the environment these are fitted. All in all, very pleased and would highly recommend .

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent local company and genuinely lovely people to deal with. Really helpful and knowledgeable, with great advice about my water softener and the correct salt to use. They even gave me some resin cleaner at no charge, which was a very kind gesture. Fantastic friendly service and I’ll definitely be returning for my salt in future. Highly recommended.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you're thinking about a water softener then i HIGHLY recommend Ultra Soft Water Softeners Ltd.

Great softeners and exceptional customer service. The water softener I bought needed some adjustments with the installation setup where I supported throughout. The customer service is honestly next level. I had countless calls with Becky Gillett, the Sales Manager, over a period of months to get to the bottom of it. She was incredibly patient with me, staying on the phone and doing video calls to walk me through the programming instructions step-by-step while I changed the settings and ensured all was installed correctly.

All the staff here have been great, but Becky really stuck with me from start to finish to make sure it was sorted and working well. It runs like a dream now.

HIGHLY recommend them!
