Our Softening Resin Filters or ‘Water Softener Filters’ are designed to soften low volumes of water and can be used either on their own or as a pre-filter to a small reverse osmosis unit. Supplied as a pre-filled 10” x 2.5″ cartridge that suits most standard filter housings, with an integrated gasket for a positive seal. Requiring much less space than a water softener these cartridges are commonly used in space-sensitive areas, such as in a catering van to protect an urn or coffee machine from limescale damage.

Description
Our Softening Resin Filters are manufactured using the same high quality resin that we use in our water softeners. Coupled with a filter housing these softening resin filled cartridges offer a low-cost solution for producing small volumes of soft water. Where there isn’t the space or flow demand for a traditional water softener, softening resin cartridges prove to be a great alternative. Typical applications include catering vans, boats and caravans where water use is not high but it is still important to protect against the damage caused by limescale.
The resin can be recharged a couple of times to prolong the filters lifespan, this is done by submerging the filter for a few hours in a brine solution.
How Often Do I Need To Change These Softening Resin Filters?
It is time to replace the filter when recharging the resin is no longer effective and you start to notice scale formation.
