Our TAC Water Filters use Template Assisted Crystallisation (TAC) technology to treat hard water. They work by converting the scale forming elements such as calcium and magnesium into microscopic crystals that float freely through pipework without sticking to surfaces and causing limescale. Cartridges are available in sizes to suit all industry standard filter housings – 10” and 20” both regular and large diameters. The TAC media we use is independently tested, proving 99.6% efficiency using German DVGW protocol.

Description
For many years ion exchange water softeners have been the only reliable option for treating hard water. Technological advances in water treatment have meant that TAC water filters are now readily available, finally offering customers an effective method of limescale control without salt, electricity or waste water. TAC is a unique process that does not remove the hardness minerals from your water, instead it converts them into microscopic crystals that float freely through pipework and heating elements without forming limescale. Because no salt or chemicals are added to the water during this process, it retains all of its healthy minerals and is safe for drinking. This method of treating hard water also produces no waste water and requires no electricity, so is often regarded as one of the most environmentally friendly solutions for tackling hard water.
Industry Standard Filter Cartridges
Our TAC Water Filters are supplied as pre-filled filter cartridges to suit industry standard sized filter housings. Featuring a carefully measured amount of TAC media, filter pads to prevent media migration and an integrated gasket at the top of the cartridge for a positive seal with the filter housing.
How Often Do I Need To Replace These TAC Water Filters?
Cartridges last up to 3 years from the date of installation depending on water quality.
