When filters are installed on unchlorinated water systems such as private water supplies trapped bacteria can build up in the filter. This can lead to a slimy, smelly biofilm forming which can affect the taste and odour of the water downstream. Our Anti Microbial Spun Sediment filters are impregnated with silver ions, which actively stops any micro-organisms from multiplying and in turn prevents the build-up of biofilm on the filter.

Spun Bonded Sediment Filters (also known as ‘depth filters’) are popular thanks to their high sediment holding capacity and ability to trap a broad range of particulate. Working in the same way as a traditional spun filter the media effectively traps particulate such as sand, silt, dirt and rust.

How Often Do I Need To Change These Anti Microbial Spun Sediment Filters?
These filters need to be changed every 6-12 months, or when visibly dirty.
