Our 7 Stage UV RO Water Fountain is a unique system that was initially put together at the request of a customer who suffers from a rare form of Cystic Fibrosis. With some areas of the UK being supplied with unsafe drinking water the customer had major concerns about how to access clean and safe water, which is where we stepped in to assemble a multi-stage filtration system specifically for customers with disabilities. When designing the system we kept in mind accessibility and ease of use, adapting some of our standard products to compile a system that can be used by disabled people to purify and remineralise mains water to deliver healthy, bacteria-free drinking water.
In 2010 the UN General Assembly recognised access to safe, uncontaminated drinking water as a human right. Here at Ultra Soft we are pleased to be taking steps to modify existing products to make them suitable for use by everyone, including people with disabilities – as clean drinking water is a human right after all.
The 7 Stage UV RO Water Fountain is an adaptation of some of our existing products, to offer a package specially designed to facilitate disabled customers. With additional features including an optional easy to operate long reach lever-style tap for those with limited use of their hands as well as a remineralisation filter to boost the mineral content of the filtered water, increasing its nutritional value.

Description
Our cleverly designed 7 Stage UV RO Water Fountain is a popular sanitation appliance that uses a series of filtration technologies to produce clean and safe drinking water, by removing dissolved contaminants and destroying bacteria. It is supplied as a complete kit that is easy to install under your kitchen sink. Taking water from the mains supply, the system purifies the water by separating waste water (concentrated with contaminants) that runs to your under-sink drain, from the clean filtered water which is then sent to the storage tank and up to the dispensing tap.
The unique addition of a built in UV sterilisation chamber and a remineralising filter make this the system of choice for those who are conscious about their drinking water. These two specialist filtration stages set this system apart from other reverse osmosis and drinking water fountain systems on the market, using tried and tested technologies to both sterilise the water and dose back in important healthy minerals including calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium. Making this a desirable water fountain for people with immunodeficiency who wish to take steps to ensure that their mains water supply is adequately treated, to prevent them consuming potentially contaminated drinking water.
Once the system has been installed it is extremely low maintenance, the only thing that is required is regular filter changes as outlined below. With a permanent connection to your cold water line and drain the water fountain is easy to operate, with filtered water available on demand from your designated drinking water filter tap. The clever way that the system is connected allows it to be disconnected and taken with you if you decide to move home, giving you peace of mind that wherever you are living you have easy access to clean, filtered drinking water.
How Often Do I Need To Replace The Filters In The 7 Stage UV RO Water Fountain?
The pre and post filters (supplied as a kit including: sediment cartridge, carbon block cartridge, granular carbon cartridge, carbon post-filter and remineralising filter) should be changed every six months. The reverse osmosis membrane should be changed annually (or bi-annually if you have soft water). The UV bulb should be changed annually and the quartz sleeve that surrounds the bulb only if damaged.
