Our Ultra Shine Limescale Tap Filter is designed specifically for use with outdoor taps, to protect against limescale at the point of use. Its portability makes it great for both window cleaning and car washing, where untreated water can leave residue marks once dried (which is especially notable in hard water areas). The filter includes a hose lock adaptor and comes pre-filled with approximately 160g of Polyphosphate crystals, which lasts for up to 30,000 litres. The filter can be easily refilled once the Polyphosphate is spent, thanks to a refillable housing with a threaded screw top.

Description
The Ultra Shine Limescale Tap Filter is designed with car detailers and enthusiasts in mind. Containing tried and tested media that coats limescale-forming molecules like calcium to prevent them from sticking to surfaces and forming water spots. This small but mighty filter has a capacity of up to 30,000 litres and can easily be unscrewed and refilled when the crystal media inside is spent, with refill packs available at low cost.
Please note that water treated with Polyphosphate can be heated up to a max temperature of 75-80°C beyond that temperature the media gradually loses its efficacy. Polyphosphate is not hazardous to plant life although it is not recommended to water your plants with the filter attached.
This is not a replacement for the drying procedure and will not provide a touch-free rinse, for a touch-free rinse please see our range of pre-filled DI vessels
