Our Self Cleaning Mesh Filters are an economical and environmentally friendly solution for sediment removal. These cleverly designed filter systems are supplied with a 90 micron stainless steel mesh filter, that can be easily cleaned without the need to remove the filter cartridge. Supplied as a complete kit ready to be installed with filter housing, stainless steel mesh cartridge, wall bracket, adjusting spanner, discharge hose connector and drain funnel.

Description
Providing an innovative solution to improve filtration efficiency, these Self Cleaning Mesh Filters use a counter-current backwash system to reverse the flow and clean built up sediment off of the filter cartridge and out of the drain in the base of the filter housing. This process is easily controlled by opening the discharge valve in the base of the filter housing, which pushes the cartridge downwards and reverses the direction of water flow. The housing is supplied with ¾” BSP female brass reinforced ports and comes with a barbed drain hose connector and drain funnel designed to prevent contamination from backflow (in compliance with UNI EN1717/2002).
The ease of cleaning and long-life stainless steel cartridge inside ensure a durable, low cost and environmentally friendly solution for particulate control. The filter cartridge can be cleaned and re-used numerous times, meaning no throw away cartridge elements.
How Often Do I Need To Clean These Self Cleaning Mesh Filters?
The clear filter housing allows for at-a-glance indication of the condition of the filter cartridge. You should activate the self-cleaning mechanism when you can visibly see particulate has built up on the outside of the filter cartridge. We recommend physically removing the filter cartridge and cleaning it once every 6-12 months for hygiene purposes.
