Our Polyphosphate Scale Inhibitor Filter provides an effective, tried and tested solution for limescale control. Pre-filled with food-grade polyphosphate crystals that gradually dissolve into your water, the filter can treat up to 70,000 litres before needing to be replaced, preventing the build-up of hard limescale. Designed to suit 10″ regular diameter (2.5″) filter housings, contained within a high quality re-usable filter cartridge that can be refilled multiple times.

Choosing Product Size

We stock these filter cartridges in 10 inch (10″) lengths to suit regular diameter (2.5″) filter housings. Most industry standard filter housings are compatible with these filter cartridges but are available to purchase separately if required. A clear filter housing is recommended to allow for visual checks of the filter cartridge.

Limescale & Corrosion Protection

Polyphosphate is a popular media for limescale and corrosion protection, regularly used in both point of use and point of entry applications. The technology works by coating the limescale-forming minerals (such as calcium and magnesium) to prevent them from sticking to surfaces and allowing them to flow freely through pipework. Common uses for polyphosphate include water heaters, washing machines, coffee machines and combi boilers. Our polyphosphate filters are suitable for flow rates up to 1,500 litres per hour, at up to 500ppm of hardness. Water treated with polyphosphate can be heated up to 75-80⁰C if heated above this temperature the media gradually loses its effectiveness.

How Long Do These Polyphosphate Scale Inhibitor Filters Last?
The filter cartridge is reusable, so should only be replaced if damaged. The media inside dissolves into your water and lasts for approximately 70,000L before it needs replacing. The clear outer shell of the filter makes it easy to see how much media is left inside.

Communication was easy and quick resulted in an easy order and now having fitted the filter i can say its a great product easy to install and appears good quality apart from the four mild steel bracket screws stainless would have been better considering the environment these are fitted. Great softeners and exceptional customer service. The water softener I bought needed some adjustments with the installation setup where I supported throughout. The customer service is honestly next level. I had countless calls with Becky Gillett, the Sales Manager, over a period of months to get to the bottom of it. She was incredibly patient with me, staying on the phone and doing video calls to walk me through the programming instructions step-by-step while I changed the settings and ensured all was installed correctly.

All the staff here have been great, but Becky really stuck with me from start to finish to make sure it was sorted and working well. It runs like a dream now.
