Our Crystal Right Evolve Systems offer an all in one treatment of iron, manganese and hardness. Designed for the treatment of private water supplies the system features an Evolve valve with a built in chlorine generator to sanitise the media bed during regeneration and prevent the build up of bacteria. Supplied with a separate free-standing brine tank, the system regenerates the media using a sodium chloride brine solution in the same way as a water softener. Available with either CR100 or CR200 media, where CR100 is required for water pH between 6-7 and CR200 for water pH 7 and above.

Description
Crystal Right media is popular for the treatment of soluble iron, manganese, and hardness in private water supplies. It works using ion-exchange technology and is regenerated using a brine solution. Crystal Right works best on clear water (where iron and manganese are in dissolved form) and we offer the choice of CR100 or CR200 media depending on the pH of your water. Our systems feature the market leading Evolve valve which not only controls regeneration but also features a built-in chlorine generator that produces up to 20ppm of chlorine to disinfect the media, reducing iron and sulphur bacteria. With Crystal Right media the backwashing flow rate is lower than the service flow rate, meaning there is no specific requirements for pumps.
To help you choose the right Crystal Right Evolve System the following parameters should be considered:
CR100 Media
Designed for water with a pH between 6-7 (will increase the pH)
Combination of Manganese & Iron: Up to 15 PPM
Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S): Less than 0.5 PPM
Hardness as CaCo3: >50 ppm minimum required
No aluminium should be present in feed water
Iron must be in soluble ferrous form
Minimum TDS: 80 PPM
CR200 Media
Designed for water with a pH between 7-11
Combination of Manganese & Iron: Up to 15 PPM
Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S): Less than 0.5 PPM
Hardness as CaCo3: >50 ppm minimum required
No aluminium should be present in feed water
Iron must be in soluble ferrous form
Minimum TDS: 80 PPM
Please note it is recommended to size your Crystal Right Evolve System based on operation for 3 days before regeneration is required.
How Often Do I Need To Replace The Crystal Right Media?
When used appropriately the media has a lifetime of over 20 years, with some systems running in excess of 35 years with the original media. The brine tank will need to be kept topped up with salt, for this we recommend the use of tablet salt.
