Anti Microbial Wound Sediment Filters

£12.00£40.00

Our Anti Microbial Wound Sediment Filters are a 5 micron filter manufactured from WRAS approved materials, so are suitable for use in drinking water applications. These specialised wound filters are impregnated with silver ions, which inhibits the growth of trapped bacteria and micro-organisms within the cartridge. This unique technology prevents the build-up of biofilm on the filter, which is common in unchlorinated water supplies and can cause filters to be slimy and have an unpleasant smell.

Why Choose Our Anti Microbial Wound Sediment Filters?

  • Anti microbial properties to inhibit biological growth
  • WRAS approved materials for safe drinking water
  • Designed for unchlorinated water supplies
  • 5 micron filter suitable for pre UV

Description

When filters are installed on unchlorinated water systems such as private water supplies trapped bacteria can build up in the filter. This can lead to a slimy, smelly biofilm forming which can affect the taste and odour of the water downstream. Our Anti Microbial Wound Sediment Filters are impregnated with silver ions, which actively stop any micro-organisms from multiplying and in turn prevents the build-up of biofilm on the filter.

Wound Filters (also known as ‘depth filters’) are popular thanks to their high sediment holding capacity and ability to trap a broad range of particulate. Working in the same way as a traditional wound filter the media effectively traps particulate such as sand, silt, dirt and rust.

How Often Do I Need To Change These Anti Microbial Wound Sediment Filters?
These filters should be changed approximately every 6-12 months, or when visibly dirty.
